Imagine yourself working on a project. You are really getting into it, and the ideas are coming fast and furious. You are making connections and are really getting excited about what you are learning and what you will be able to share.
And then the bell rings.
I took two years to embrace the idea of homeschooling. It was absolutely not something I saw myself doing, but I felt like I needed to do in the circumstances I was put in. It was scary, and it was taking on a HUGE responsibility! If I screwed up my kids, it was ALL my fault! And it wasn’t just their academics. It was their self-esteem and socialization. It was a tough decision and one of the best ones I made in my life.
This poem inspired me so I thought I’d share! We seem to have a lot of “toil” and “storms” but we will come out of it stronger for it!
How do you want to live your life? In the past? Or looking towards the future? Do you want to live the story of your past over and over again? Or do you want to be the protagonist of your story and live the life you want to write for yourself? It is your choice!
The A in PROTAG is for Action-oriented. The Cambridge dictionary defines it as:
willing or likely to take practical action to deal with a problem or situation
The T in PROTAG is for Talented. Talented is defined as a natural gift or ability. Sometimes the word “genius” is even given to people who exhibit talent. One other definition of talent that was used in ancient times is a unit of money. The bible parable about talents is actually about money and investments. I like to think of it being applicable to the current definition too.
The O in PROTAG is for Optimistic. Being optimistic is

The R in PROTAG is for RESOLUTE You need to have a “why” or purpose that moves you into action. Sharing your genius, having a genius paradigm, means that you have something that is pushing you to move forward. A resolution to do more.
Perspicacity – big word. Almost too big. But it fits. The first characteristic of genius is the ability to learn, and perspicacity is that and more. The Latin root means to “see clearly” or “look through.” Merriam Webster shares that “…perspicacious implies unusual power to see through and comprehend what is puzzling or hidden.”
